October 2016
Design and Modeling - Students finished up the quarter working with Inventor, a computer drafting program. They designed their own puzzle cube using pre-cut cubes, then created a virtual one using the CAD program. Many students were able to finish their final virtual and real product. However others ran out of time and only completed their virtual product.
Automation and Robotics - Students finished up the quarter working with the VEX Robotics platform to design, build, and program real-world objects. Learning about gears, ratios, and coding along the way. Also, watching the students realize there are multiple ways to solve problems brought about a great end to the quarter.September 2016
In Design & Modeling students created prototypes of a Foot Orthosis for children with Cerebral Palsy. We learned about Cerebral Palsy and a design process during the project.
