6th grade...band classes are hard at work learning lots of new notes and rhythms to prepare for our Spring concert later in the semester!
7th grade...band classes are continuing to work out of the blue book this semester. Many students have chosen to prepare a performance for our Solo and Ensemble night on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd. Payment and registration for Solo and Ensemble is due on Friday, Feb. 17th.
8th grade...band classes are continuing to work out of the green book this semester. Many students have chosen to prepare a performance for our Solo and Ensemble night on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd. Payment and registration for Solo and Ensemble is due on Friday, Feb. 17th. We will also start to prepare for our trip to Branson in the next few weeks. The final trip payment is due on March 1st.

6th grade..."The beginning band has been hard at working learning the basics of how to read music, how to assemble instruments, and even how to play a few notes! Students should all have an instrument in working condition, cleaning supplies for the instrument, and a black 3-ring binder."
7th grade..."The intermediate band is already working on lots of warm ups and technique exercises! All 7th grade students will need a blue "GV Bands" polo ordered through the school. The order form and payment was due on August 26th."
8th grade..."The advanced band is hard at work preparing for their first performance of the year! They will perform with the Marching Eagles at the high school football game on Friday, October 7th."
